Hermetic SEAL Housings
SAE Boss Threaded Housing
The ST housing, or straight thread, is primarily linked to fluid power and hydraulic systems, but is also suitable for vacuum and high-pressure gases. It features an O-ring positioned above the threads, and the hex size is usually smaller than that of a face seal housing, though it requires a more intricate port for machining.
Face Seal Threaded Housing
These housings feature a face seal O-ring groove beneath the hex to securely hold the O-ring. When installed, the O-ring is compressed against the face of the customer’s system, ensuring an effective seal. The face seal O-ring is ideal for vacuum and medium-high pressure applications. Installation ports can be either a threaded hole or a smooth bore, with the latter requiring a nut for O-ring compression.
NPT (National Pipe Thread)
The NPT housing is a preferred choice for hermetic feedthroughs, featuring tapered threads that create secure, leak-resistant connections as they are tightened. Widely utilized in plumbing, hydraulic, and pneumatic applications, NPT housings are valued for their dependable sealing properties and straightforward installation. While primarily designed for pressure applications, they are also suitable for certain vacuum uses.
Piston O-ring Molded Epoxy
This is a precision-molded epoxy housing featuring one or more external O-ring grooves. The housing is designed to incorporate an O-ring, a circular elastomeric seal meticulously molded to fit precisely within a groove in the piston. This O-ring forms a robust seal that prevents fluid leakage and maintains system pressure. Such housings are widely utilized in various applications, including hydraulic cylinders, pneumatic cylinders, and automotive engines, due to their reliability and versatility across a broad range of sizes and uses.

KF/NW Vacuum Flange
NW Vacuum Housing, also referred to as KF (Klein Flansch) or QF (Quick Flange) housing, is a standardized component integral to vacuum systems, facilitating quick and secure connections between various components. The NW standard is widely adopted in both laboratory and industrial vacuum applications, prized for its user-friendly design and dependable sealing capabilities. These housings employ either a claw clamp or a wingnut clamp to secure connections, incorporating a centering ring and an O-ring to ensure an airtight seal.

Conflat Vacuum Flange
ConFlat (CF) vacuum housings are essential high-vacuum components designed to ensure leak-tight connections within vacuum systems. These housings employ a robust metal-to-metal sealing mechanism, typically featuring a knife-edge flange and a malleable copper gasket. When the flanges are fastened together, the knife edges compress the gasket, producing a highly reliable and enduring vacuum seal. ConFlat vacuum housings are extensively utilized in scientific research, semiconductor manufacturing, and other high-precision applications.

ISO Vacuum Flange
The ISO flange system comprises two principal types: ISO-K (clamp-style) and ISO-F (bolted-style). These flanges, part of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard flange series, are specifically engineered for vacuum systems. They ensure a dependable and secure connection between various components within these systems.
